My Sleepy Valentine

I'm happy with how this came out :) I'm not the best at 2-pagers. I'm guessing this one looks good, because I followed Nichol Magouirk's sketch from her 2peas February Celebrate the Seasons class. As you can see, I'm wee bit behind; as I am on most scrappy things lately.

February 12 of 12 Layout

Here it is :) I'm happy with how this came out. Love that strip of Love, Elsie camera paper! I made the title with my MIL's Cricut. Wish I had one! The circles are pop dotted to stand up a little. Thanks for looking :)

Happy Birthday Dylan!

digi scrappy stuff part of a quick page by vera lim designs

I seriously cannot believe my little Dylan is 4 years old. I really just cannot. Totally not a baby anymore. I love you Dylan; my silly, imaginative ball of energy. I love your snuggles, kisses, and jokes. Happy Birthday!

April 12 of 12--Easter Edition!

How I like to start my day: on the back porch with a cuppa with ice cubes so I can drink it right then!

Cliff working on the back yard in peace before the kids wake up. The entire back of the truck is filled to the top and he's no where near done.

Dylan is thrilled checking out his Easter basket! He said he saw the Easter Bunny while he was sleeping and that he's a pink boy one.

Easter egg hunt in the front yard. Almost all of these pictures are Dylan holding an egg just like this in front of his face telling me what color the egg is.

If you look closely in the air in the upper left hand side, you'll see a flying yellow egg. Also notice the eggs in the lower right hand side. Uh, yeah, Cliff and Dylan started an egg throwing fight. Typical of them two!

Cliff got a hair in his butt (ha ha, I kill myself with cheesy puns) and decided to shave the dog. Wilson loved it and looks like a little puppy now.

Dylan doing some birdwatching with his binoculars. He claims to have seen a red eyed sloth bird.

Their Great Grandma Joan stops by to visit. Dylan decides to go to her house to play for a few hours.

Mandatory self portrait in the car with Hubs too. I absolutely love over sized glasses and don't care how ridiculous I look.

Liberty Mutual is on my street corner and every day until Tax Day we see this guy advertising for them. He happily posed for this picture I took while at the stop sign.

Stopped by my Momma's house to pick up the boy's Easter baskets. She was happy to get a little one on one time with Sam.

Finishing our day off playing with Dylan's new chalks and watching Amazing Race. I think those two girls in the background on the t.v. (the basketball player team) are floating by and oughta be out already. It was a non-elimination round with the short stuntmen team more than likely set up to lose on the next episode.

Cute scrappy blog to check out...

I was checking out the different design team member blogs from my local scrapbook store, Everything Scrappn', which is incidentally throwing a big contest on their blog if you are interested. CraftySuz explains the contest pretty well, here at http://craftysuz.blogspot.com/2009/04/let-games-begin.html.

Anyhoo, Teresa Matz has a cute blog with a bit of a shabby, yet still current looking scrap style. Check her out. http://matzmonkeyfarm.blogspot.com/

I'm Ready, Promotion. I'm Ready, Promotion!

(Cliff all dressed up the day he had his interview.)
In case you are wondering about this post title, we have all watched The Spongebob Movie a bit too much in this house. :) It was the first thought my husband had when he read the email he received his promotion. Yes! That's right! Cliff finally got his promotion! I am so very proud of him. Cliff really deserves this. He's been doing the work already someone with this promotion would do and now finally getting paid the way he oughta. We've all been a bit stressed. It seems since finding out about his promotion that a weight has been lifted off the both of us.

Chance is missing...

Chance has always hated the camera, so I don't have many pictures of him.

We've had Chance since 2001, same year that Cliff and I started dating. Cliff had wanted a dog for a very long time since his childhood dog died in his early teens. Cliff's mom said we could get one from the pound as long as it was a little dog. Well, my logic was that puppies are small dogs. :) He stayed at Cliff's mom's off and on as we rented houses and finally got our first home over the years.

Chance is a good dog. Always has been the lazy type despite that most Labs are hyper. He has been getting out of the fence since we put it up last Summer. Digging out, even ripping holes in to the fence. He would always come back an hour later, I would plug up the new hole, rinse, repeat. He hasn't came back yet and it's been 10 days now. I don't think he is coming back. I think either he hates us for putting him outside or is dead. I don't logically see a person picking up and keeping such a big dog off the side of the road.
Chance was Dylan's best friend. Chance would welcome "horsie rides" from Dylan until he got too big. Dylan would play super heroes with Chance. They would both be good guys and chase our other dog Wilson in the backyard. At first, Dylan was mad at Chance for running off again. Saying stuff like what a bad dog! I think it has hit him tonight and he has starting getting sad.

Dylan and Cliff have checked the pound to no avail. Cliff is pretty manly about things-especially animals, but Dylan told me Cliff cried on the way home from the pound. I feel like it's all my fault putting him in the backyard, because the new baby was coming. Posted on Craigslist twice now. I don't know what more to do, but this family really, really misses him.
